For the anniversary of Female author Mary Shelly, Arts University Bournemouth held multiple performances around the university campus with themes of Frankenstein and Feminism. My costume, ‘The Watchful Woman” is made up of a historically accurate 16th Century dress, full with pocket hoops, a fully boned corset and a polonaise. The corset and the underskirt has been hand printed by me with text copied from Frankenstein and then distressed to look worn and trampled. This was a collaboration across the acting, make-up and creative events departments.
